We’ve been asked by so many people how we arrived at the polar bear in our logo. We’ve got a lot of reasons for selecting this image. Primarily, the polar bear has become a symbol for wilderness species vulnerable to the threats of global warming as their habitat disappears, so that’s in keeping with our goals of being more environmentally friendly. As well, Canada also has approximately ½ of the world’s population of polar bears, so we wanted to pay homage to our heritage with our logo.

Also, according to Inuit tradition, polar bears are thought to be the “keepers of ancient wisdom”. Who wouldn’t want that association? As well, polar bears just have that “it” quality – a slumbering majesty about them. As for baby polar bears…cute & cuddly…need we say more?
